Vacuum Consumable Electrode Arc Furnace
Product Features and Special Configuration
Working principle
The furnace has a mold, which is filled into a water-cooled jacket and connected to the positive terminal of the smelting power source. The negative pole of the power supply is connected to the piston, the “tie rod” which is sealed into the furnace by sliding the vacuum seal. The rod to be melted (ie, the electrode) is clamped to the base of the control piston and after the chamber is evacuated, the descending electrode triggers an arc with a metal dunnage of the same material at the bottom of the mold. When the electrode melts due to input power, the piston can be lowered by the hydraulic control system in order to keep the distance between the electrode and the resulting molten pool constant. As the smelting continued, a new ingot was gradually formed in the mold.
Features:
It is capable of melting at high temperature and high speed. The degassing effect is remarkable. The molten metal is not polluted by the refractory material, and the nonmetallic inclusions in the metal can be reduced. As the device uses a relatively new type of electronic control system, the electrode can be manually controlled to lift, but also automatic control, uniform melt speed adjustment: Tracking sensitive, no disturbance, reliable operation.Vacuum Consumable Electrode Arc Furnace consists of vacuum system, electrode driven mechanical system, copper crucible and cooling cycle system, DC power supply, automatic and manual control system, stable arc stirring system, testing and automatic recording system.
